    Dr. Bob Stanhope

    Dr. Bob Stanhope is a Consultant in Gynecologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin and his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has served as a physician in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and during Desert Storm. He has taught surgery in Haiti and Mongolia, and has been on multiple short-term medical mission trips to Africa, specifically visiting Kenya and Guinea.

    Bob has had multiple administrative roles at the Mayo Clinic involving clinical practice, education and has served as chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been president of the Mayo Staff and has served as chair of the Gamehaven Council of Boy Scouts being a recipient of the Distinguished Eagle Award. His other Board activities include the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army, the Elder Board of Autumn Ridge Church, the Board of the Season's Hospice, and the Board of the United Way of Olmsted County. He remains active in Community Bible Study in Rochester and for the past 17 years has served as Associated Teaching Director.

    Bob and his wife, Jane, have three married daughters and six grandchildren.
